I'm Javeon Shannon, an actor, DJ, and musician originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I moved to Los Angeles in 2017, where I found my love for acting and began pursuing a career in the arts.

I studied Theater Arts at Chaffey College before transferring to UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television, where I graduated with a B.A. in Theater and an emphasis in Acting. During my training, I developed a love for both classical and contemporary theater, which I still foster to this day.

Most recently, I played Tyree Williams in a supporting role in The Streak, with Lion Forge Entertainment / and directed by Steve Byrne. My other film credits include lead roles in Home Recordings, The Sparrows, and Cedar Mountain. Some of my favorite theater credits include Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Action in West Side Story, and Prince Ludovico in The Courage to Right a Woman's Wrongs. I've also received recognition for my work by; the Newport Beach Film Festival, the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival's Irene Ryan Acting Competition and UCLA's Ralph Freud Fellowship in Acting.

Outside of acting, music has always been a big part of my life. I play multiple instruments, spin records as DJ Bari, write poetry,  I am also  an independent filmmaker and event producer creating spaces for artists to share their work.

I love being able to explore different sides of myself through the things I create, whether that's playing a character, making music with friends, or putting together a show. I'm always looking for opportunities to learn something new and make something worth sharing.
